God sees you — really sees you
Ever feel like you're invisible? Like you're showing up, doing the work, trying your best — and nobody notices? You're not alone. The original readers of Hebrews felt the same way. They were tired. Persecuted. Wondering if any of it mattered.
Then comes this verse: "God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him." Not "God might remember." Not "God will try to notice." God will NOT forget. It's a promise. He sees you. He's keeping track. Every act of love. Every moment of faithfulness. Every time you showed up when you didn't feel like it.
This isn't about earning God's love — you already have that. This is about God saying, "I see you. I know what you're doing. And it matters to me." In a world where we're constantly measuring likes, views, and recognition, God's saying, "I'm the audience that counts. And I'm paying attention."
Maybe you walked in here today feeling overlooked. Undervalued. Like your efforts don't count. Let this sink in: God keeps receipts. Not to shame you, but to remind you — you are seen. You are known. And what you're doing? It matters more than you think.
Sit with this
- 1When was the last time you felt truly seen by someone — and how did that change how you showed up?
Journal prompt
Write about a time you felt invisible or overlooked. Now write what it would mean if God was actually watching that whole time — keeping track, remembering, caring.
